The QR Code: Crypto Payment Standard
QR codes are the standard method for initiating cryptocurrency payments. When a customer scans your crypto QR code, their wallet app automatically pre-fills:
- The recipient address (your wallet)
- The amount (optional)
- The currency (BTC, ETH, or LTC)
It's the same principle as bank transfers, but decentralized and instant.
Supported Cryptocurrencies
The QRaft generator supports the three main ones:
- Bitcoin (BTC): the most widely used, BIP21 format (
bitcoin:address?amount=0.01) - Ethereum (ETH): for payments and smart contracts (
ethereum:address?value=1e18) - Litecoin (LTC): fast and economical alternative (
litecoin:address?amount=0.5)
Create Your Crypto QR Code
1. Get Your Wallet Address
Open your wallet app (Ledger Live, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, etc.) and copy your receiving address.
ALWAYS double-check the address. Blockchain transactions are irreversible. A wrong address = permanently lost funds.
2. Generate the QR Code
Go to the QRaft Crypto generator:
- Select the cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, or LTC)
- Paste your wallet address
- Optional: set an amount
- Download the QR code
3. Display It
- Website: donation or payment page
- Point of sale: screen or printed at the counter
- Invoice: embed the QR code in your invoices
- Livestream: display on screen to receive tips
